1. Overview

LawNest respects the confidentiality of law firm and client information. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. Information we collect

Account details (name, email, firm information), usage logs, support communications, and the client and matter data you store in the product. Payment processing for subscriptions is handled by Stripe.

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the service, send transactional emails you request (invoices, portal invites, reminders), process subscriptions, and respond to support requests.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, email, payments) who process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by role and firm tenancy. We retain data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups and legal obligations.

6. Your rights

Firm owners may export firm data from Settings and may request account deletion by contacting support. Clients invited to the portal should contact their law firm for access or correction requests.
